Your adventure begins at the historic St. Johanns-Tor, one of the last remaining medieval city gates. Here, you'll receive your bike and get your first exciting glimpse into the journey ahead.
The route takes you first to the Dreirosen Bridge. From there, you enjoy a stunning view over the city on the Rhine, and even across the borders to Germany and France - a perfect moment to experience Basel’s unique location up close.
Next, you continue to the Kleinbasel side, biking upstream along the Rhine. Throughout the journey, there will be several stops, immersing yourself in the city's fascinating history and vibrant culture. You’ll discover famous landmarks as well as hidden gems, with plenty of opportunities to snap unforgettable photos.
At the Birsfelden hydropower plant, you cross the Rhine once again and head back towards the city along the Grossbasel riverbank. In the charming St. Alban district, you stop at the old city wall and the medieval Paper Mill - living pieces of history.

A special highlight awaits you at the Basel Minster. Here, you take a well-deserved break and dive into the fascinating history of this over 1,000-year-old building, one of the city’s most famous landmarks. From the Pfalz, Basel’s famous terrace, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the picturesque cityscape on the Rhine bend. To top it off, you'll savor two traditional Basel specialties and a refreshing drink - both included in the tour.
Recharged, you continue to the bustling Market Square, the vibrant heart of Basel. Here, the magnificent Town Hall with its artful frescoes provides a perfect setting for more memorable photos.
From the Market Square, you cycle back to the Rhine and follow the riverbank to St. Johanns-Tor, where your journey began.
